Short-term Study/Travel Hybrid
Study Anth250F Topics in Anthropology: British Isles in tan abbreviated Summer Quarter. The first two weeks of the quarter is held at SPSCC in Olympia, then travel to Glasgow, Scotland for over 3 weeks to complete the lecture portion of the course. No more lectures are held, although a term paper is due about two weeks after the return from Scotland. Expected travel dates are July 13 to August 5, 2012. The course is taught by Dr Patrick Chapman and enrollment is limited, so make sure you apply soon. The application deadline and $300 non-refundable deposit is due by mid May 2012.
Cost: Estimated program fee is $1600 plus airfare. The actual program fee may vary based on currency exchange rates and the number of enrolled students.
Included in the program fee is accommodation at Strathclyde University residence halls in downtown Glasgow, kitchen facilities and linen, guided tour of Glasgow, excursions to Edinburgh and Loch Ness, four group meals, use of university computers and library facilities.
The program fee does not include tuition, most meals, passport fees, textbooks, personal expenses, non-required activities or excursions and anything else not specified.
